Well-being should be top of the agenda for businesses

A recent article published by Business in the Community suggests that one in four adults in the UK will experience a mental health condition in any given year. Louise Aston, Business in the Community’s Well-being Campaign Director, and one of the leading speakers at the forthcoming Well-being at Work Event in October, says:

“We campaign about employee well-being – which is all about the mutually dependent relationship between physical, mental and total health for employees – and crucially, businesses responsibility to address this. In today’s climate, as people work longer, harder and in tougher times, stress is on the increase. There needs to be a focus on employee mental health”

Mental health is serious business in the workplace, costing employers around £26 billion each year. The Well-being at Work Event, taking place on 15 October at the Cavendish Conference Centre in London will provide HR professionals and businesses owners with the opportunity to learn from the experts and pioneers who have implemented change in the workplace.
